Defending Champion Meghan MacLaren was another big mover on Friday afternoon, adding an impressive five-under par 65 to her opening round 70 to keep her title defence very much alive.
“Everything was on today. It felt comfortable.
“I hit two bad tee-shots which cost me, and to bogey 16 feels like I have given a shot and a half back, but I made up for it on the last.” MacLaren was enthusiastic about her chances of entering the weekend as defe3nding champion.
“Being in contention in any tournament heading into the weekend is a good spot, this feels a bit more special because of last year, so it’s a good place to be,” she smiled.
