Women’s NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Events to Tee Off Across the State

As the excitement for the Women NSW Open and Australian Women’s Classic – Bonville builds, the final four Women’s NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Events are set to tee off on March 3rd.

The series will take place at various renowned golf courses, starting at Duntryleague Golf Club in Orange from March 3rd to 5th.

Next on the schedule is Bathurst Golf Club from March 6th to 8th, one of the state’s finest inland layouts, and on the doorstep of the fabled Mount Panorama racetrack.

Then, it’s onto the picturesque Dubbo Golf Club from March 10th to 12th. The final event will be held at Narrabri Golfie from March 14th to 16th, nestled in the heart of the Namoi Valley.

Each tournament will feature two rounds of competition, with a $50,000 purse up for grabs.

The top two placegetters from each will earn a spot to compete in this year’s Women’s NSW Open, at the magnificent Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club on the NSW Central Coast from March 29th to 31st.

At the heart of these tournaments is a commitment to showcasing the incredible skill and talent of female golfers, from rising stars looking to make a name for themselves to seasoned veterans determined to add another accolade to their trophy cabinets.

Events hosted throughout regional New South Wales bring the excitement and prestige of professional golf to local communities, inspiring a new generation of athletes to pursue their dreams on the greens.

During the first Women’s NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Event held at Mollymook, the spotlight fell on the youngest participant in the field, sixteen-year-old Sydney schoolgirl Rachel Lee.

Against a field of seasoned professionals, Lee shone brightly; she not only secured a spot in the playoff with a final hole birdie but emerged triumphant in the nail-biting playoff.

“Rachel Lee’s impressive performance at Mollymook exemplifies the spirit of these events, where talent knows no age,” said Nicole Martin, Manager – Tournaments at Golf NSW.

Martin also added that the series highlights the scenic beauty and world-class facilities of some of the best regional golf courses.

“These events at venues like Duntryleague, Bathurst, Dubbo, and Narrabri really showcase the diversity and quality of our great game in regional NSW. The exposure they will bring to each will be invaluable.

“The hard work put in by the clubs leading up to the events is evident, and they can’t wait to see their course showcased nationwide,” she added.

The final rounds of all four Regional Qualifying Series events will be live-streamed on the SEN network and across Golf NSW’s social & digital channels.

Spectators are invited to join in the excitement, support the players, and experience the thrill of live tournament golf. Entry to all courses is free.
