The 2025 Ford Women’s NSW Open Golf Championship is sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour (LET) & Women’s Australian PGA (WPGA) and played over 72 holes of stroke play at Wollongong Golf Club.

TERMS OF COMPETITION – Ford Women’s NSW Open

  1. The Women’s NSW Open Golf Championship shall be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes.  A maximum of 132 players will play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 60 professionals plus any amateur within the cut mark after the second round shall qualify to play the 3rd round.
  2. In the event of a tie for first place, a ‘sudden death’ play-off will take place on a hole to be determined until a result has been achieved.
  3. Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd of St Andrews and in accordance with the WPGA’s Conditions of Competition and Local Rules and the local rules as approved by the Championship Committee. 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY

  • 80 LET member players
  • 30 WPGA Tour 2024 Exemption Categories 
  • 10 Promoter Invites
  • 12 Regional Qualifying positions.

SCHEDULE 

The schedule for the 2026 Ford Women’s NSW Open Golf Championship week will be as follows: 

Monday 23 & Tuesday 24 February
Practice days + Player registration – Course Open 7.00am

Wednesday 25 February
Golf NSW Pro Am – 11.00am shotgun start with presentation to follow. 

Thursday 26 – Friday 27 February
Tournament Play – 1 & 2nd Rounds – play in three balls off two tees (1st and 10th) – Play to Start at approximately 7.30am. Refer the LET website for draws, once published.

A cut to the top 60 professionals plus any amateur within the cut mark after the second round will take place at the conclusion of the second round.

Saturday 28 February
Rd 3 – 60 players + ties – Starting time (TBC) – Broadcast on Fox Sports and Kayo from 12pm.

Sunday 1 March
Final Round – 60 players + ties – Starting time (TBC) – Broadcast on Fox Sports and Kayo from 12pm.

The Prize giving and closing ceremony (at which the leading professional and amateur will be required) will follow immediately after the completion of the final round in front of the clubhouse.

PRIZE MONEY 
Tournament Prize Fund minimum of EU 350,000 (distribution in accordance with LET/WPGA ratios). 

PLAYER REGISTRATION 
Players will register with WPGA in the Tour office, which will be situated in the clubhouse.

Hole 3 – 175m
Saturday and Sunday only
Only one prize available (first player to achieve a hole-in-one)

TROPHY 
The winner of the Women’s NSW Open Golf Championship will receive the Jan Stephenson Trophy. Golf NSW to provide both professional and amateur trophies.

TOURNAMENT OFFICE:
The tournament office will be located in the board room of Wollongong Golf Club.

PRACTICE ROUNDS 
Official practice days will be Monday & Tuesday. Players must book practice rounds with OCS Booking System.

PRACTICE FACILITIES 
The practice range is located off site at JJ Kelly Park. Shuttles to and from the club house will be in operation. Players should allow ample time to travel to and from the range during tournament days.

CAR PARKING 
Car parking at Wollongong Golf Club is restricted to players, officials and staff. Spectators will need to find public parking in the local area.
