The NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Series for Women is a set of six 36-hole tournaments in regional NSW that offer the top two placegetters at each the opportunity to compete in the 2024 Women’s NSW Open Championship at Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club
The series kicks off in early Novmeber, 2023 and will culminate in Mid March at Narrabri
With a $50,000 purse on offer at each (professionals only), the top two placegetters (professional or amateur) at each tournament will also secure a start in the co-sanctioned ( Ladies European Tour and WPGA Tour of Australasia) Championship.
Entries for amateur golfers are now open. If you are a female player with a GA handicap of 4.4 or less, you are eligible.
Entries for all professionals are handled by the WPGA and you are encouraged to enter via their website at: wpga.org.au
The first two tournaments have already seen four players qualify for the Women’s NSW Open at Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club on March 29th – 31st, 2024.
The four successful players at the opening two tournaments were:
- Rachel Lee (a) (Winner at Mollymook Golf Club)
- Chizuru Ueda (Runner-up at Mollymook Golf Club)
- Amy Taylor (Winner at Wagga Wagga Country Club)
- Elmay Viking (Runner-up at Wagga Wagga Country Club)
The venues and dates for the next four tournaments in the series are:

- Duntryleague Golf Club, Orange – March 3rd – 5th, 2024
- Bathurst Golf Club, Bathurst – March 6th – 8th, 2024
- Dubbo Golf Club, Dubbo – March 10th – 12th 2024
- Narrabri Golf Club, Narrabri – March 14th- 16th 2024
The format for each tournament is as follows: DAY 1 – Tournament Pro-Am (Compulsory for all competitors). DAY 2 – Tournament Round One – Random Draw + Tournament Pro-Am. DAY 3 – Tournament Round Two – Seeded Draw.
