Hannah Reeves has continued her remarkable run through the 2026 Ford Women’s NSW Open Regional Qualifiers, carding a flawless five-under round to take the lead after Round One at Dubbo Golf Club.
Despite having never played the course before yesterday, Reeves looked instantly at home. An eagle on the third set the tone for a clinical, bogey-free performance that keeps her unbeaten streak across the qualifiers alive, following victories at Mollymook and Wagga Wagga.
“I did play really nicely today,” Reeves said.

“I hit some nice shots early. I was four-under through three or four, so I really started well and then hung in there. It’s my first time here, and it’s quite narrow off the tee, so keeping it in position is the main thing.”
The 21-year-old has been fine-tuning her game with coach Grant Field and arrived in Dubbo feeling confident after a recent win at the Sanctuary Cove Shootout.
“That was a great confidence booster,” she said.
“I don’t put too much pressure on myself. I’ll just play each shot as it comes tomorrow and we’ll see how it ends up.”
But Reeves won’t have it all her own way.
Breathing down her neck is last year’s runner-up, Danni Vasquez-Boyd, who posted a composed two-under round despite an early stumble.
“I got off to a pretty slow start. I had an early double, which wasn’t good for the mental game,” Vasquez-Boyd admitted.
“But I bounced back with a birdie on seven, and that got the wheels moving. I had to make a lot of up-and-downs today, so hopefully I can hit more greens tomorrow.”
The Dubbo layout remains a favourite for Vasquez-Boyd, who is eager to better last year’s runner-up finish.
“I have good memories here. I did well last year, so hopefully I can do one better this year,” she said.
“The wind was swirling today, so you’ve just got to take it as it is.”
Both players are keeping things low-key ahead of the final round — Reeves opting for practice and rest, Vasquez-Boyd choosing a warm-down, some putting, and an evening with Love Island.
But it’s not just the leading pair in the hunt, players like Justice Bosio and Kristalle Blum are among those still well within striking distance heading into the final round.
